MTU Mobile Wellness Systems: In developing countries, even the most basic medical care is often inaccessible to communities in outlying rural areas. Doctors travel long distances to see patients in villages across the countryside, with supplies limited by what they can carry. Public health in rural areas could be significantly improved with a mobile outreach clinic capable of simple diagnostics, basic treatment, and some preventative care. We (International Business Ventures Enterprise) are designing a mobile clinic that will provide primary medical care to mid-level and outlying villages which otherwise do not have access to reliable medical care. We have partnered with The Pavlis Institute, who will be taking our first model over to Ghana, Africa this summer to begin usability testing and provide medical care to people in need. The final design will be sufficiently versatile to integrate with various vehicle sizes as well as simple in design and low-cost so that it can be constructed in Ghana and other developing nations using locally available labor and materials in addition to the necessary medical equipment sought from charitable donations from people like you!
